Just the weekend for a little bit of sewing! We are preparing for a new spring window, so this weekend’s task turned into sewing some lovely felt wellies for Luna Lapin and her friends. I don’t yet know who is getting each pair.
The wellies are fun to sew, and look great with their little buckles and bright spring colours, I am sure I need my own pair to keep my feet warm in my sewing room!
I also experimented with some crocheting with our lovely rico cotton…and made a couple of Luna sized baskets. I was playing with different stitches and having an internal struggle, between teeny and neat or faster and finished quicker so that I could see the end result. In the end I opted for a bit of single crochet and a bit of double, with something called a mini bean stitch along the top of the yellow basket.
Happily some little mini daffodils and the sun came out in my garden this afternoon, so I grabbed a quick photo while I could.
All in all its been a lovely weekend. . . I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend also. :0)
