Our Make Me kits include easy-to-read instructions with beautiful photography and clear diagrams to demonstrate the sewing steps. We are sure that if you read the instructions carefully, you will be successful in your sewing, but if you have any questions (or just want to show off your work), join Luna Lapin’s Little World.
Ziggy is designed to be sewn mostly by hand, but you may find a sewing machine helpful when joining the fur to the felt. Though not as tricky as Hugh the Hound, working with the two different fabrics requires some patience, so we recommend him for intermediate stitchers. We recommend you are at least 13/14 years old. Though all of our Luna-sized outfits are interchangeable, Ziggy is shorter than most of Luna’s friends, so you may need to crop trousers! The New Romantics Outfit was designed with Ziggy in mind.
Ingredients:
15cm (6in) x 90cm (36in) main felt, 17.5cm (7in)x15cm (6in) contrast felt, 21cm (8 1/2in) x 35cm (14in) faux fur, thread winding, bobbin of tonal thread, 2 beads for eyes, a plastic nose, 2 arm buttons, 2 leg buttons, needle, doll needle, 8 pins.
You will also need 110-120gms stuffing, a sewing machine, iron, scissors, and a water
soluble marking pen.

Ziggy was wonderful to make. I love the new denser and less fluffy fur. This makes him very tactile. I found I had a parting on his head from my sewing and added a top bit to give him extra furry prickles. Love the fact he is smaller. Don’t be put off by sewing fur to felt, the instructions are superb and easy to follow.

Ziggy was probably one of the hardest friends I’ve made due to the fur but probably one of the sweetest as a result! The instructions were great and I’m really pleased with him. I would just say that the fur in the kit is ever so slightly different to that pictured – the fur in the kit is maybe slightly shorter so my Ziggy has a short back and sides!
