17th May
What will you make?
You will make the Perfect Puff Sleeve Top from ‘Matchy Matchy’ Patterns. This is an Advanced Beginner class so preferably you have made a couple of garments before.
The top is designed to have a relaxed, roomy A-line silhouette with a touch of shaping for a flattering fit. This easy-to-sew pattern includes two views, featuring a wide style neckline and dropped shoulders with a perfectly dramatic puff sleeve that hits just below the elbow. The overall length sits just below the natural waist, allowing a tucked or untucked look. View B has a front button placket for elevated styling.
What will you learn?
Cutting out and sewing up of standard seams, setting in a sleeve, inserting an elasticated channel and buttonholing if you choose View B.
What is provided?
We provide the pattern, but you will need to pick it up before class, or we can arrange to post it out. If you have any questions about fabric requirements or sizing, please feel free to ask any of our incredibly helpful staff in-store.
Pattern includes sizes XXS – 6XL
Hot and cold drinks, plus cake!
What will you need?
Your own sewing machine and the knowledge of how to use it!
Fabric is not provided in the cost of this class. You will need to come with your fabric pre-chosen, but cutting out is one of the skills you will learn in this day’s course. If you buy your fabric from CoolCrafting, you will receive a 10% off fabric code at purchase. You also get 10% off anything in the shop (excluding gift vouchers and future classes) when you shop on the day.
You will need to bring glasses if you wear them, and an extra layer of clothing if you feel the cold. Our shop is very old, and we have to run upstairs and downstairs, not sit and stitch! There will be a 30-minute stop for lunch, so we recommend you bring something to eat.
Where is it?
This workshop takes place on the first floor of our beautiful CoolCrafting shop in the heart of Kendal, just off the historic Market Place. Please be aware that the only access to our first floor is via a staircase. There is no lift.
6 Available Spaces in total.
Tickets are £75 and available here
