Our Make Me Svalbardian kits include easy-to-read instructions, beautiful photography, and clear diagrams demonstrating the sewing steps. We are sure that if you read the instructions carefully, you will be successful in your sewing, but if you have any questions (or just want to show off your work), join Luna Lapin’s Little World, our helpful Facebook community.
The Svalbardian is one of our intermediate projects because of its miniature design features such as real tiny pockets and toggles. We recommend that you have prior experience making clothing (person or Luna-sized). This project is designed to be machine-sewn, but a very patient person could do it by hand. All the clothes in the Luna Lapin collection (unless stated otherwise) will fit Luna and all her friends, but the trousers will need to be taken up for Ottoline and Ziggy. We designed this Outfit for Erik Erikson. our longer legged Polar Bear.
Ingredients (either in this kit or you will need) Instructions, paper pattern, 4 wooden toggles, 17cm (7in) deep by 34cm (14in) wide boiled wool, 80cm (31 1/2in) padded elastic, safety pin, 40cm (16in) deep x 50cm (20in) wide Peached check cotton, 22.5cm (9in) x 90cm (36in) Mellow Yellow felt, cream thread, 70cm waxed cord, 5cm x 5cm pleather

This is such a beautiful kit with some really lovely quality fabrics. I fell in love with the images of Erik in his yellow coat so chose that colour and love it! The instructions are also really clear and Erik approves.
