Stiffen Stuff by Beacon Adhesives is a stiffening liquid that you can apply to fabric to make it stiffer. In essence, it acts like old fashioned starch. The benifits would be, to say, use fine cotton fabrics to make origami, or to saturate a crocheted doily and allow it to dry inside a bowl to create a curved doily bowl.
Another benefit of Stiffen Stuff is that it stops the edges of fabric from fraying – definitely one for the craft cupboard.
A word of warning – always replace the top, as the starch can dry around the nozzle and block it.
