Description
RTR rucksack sewing pattern from Merchant and Mills.
Claim your right to roam with this fine rucksack on your back. Make it in traditional British oilskin or a sturdy canvas. Fully lined with 3 divided internal pockets. The pattern includes a cross-body bag as an alternative.
Skill level; Intermediate
This is a paper pattern including. All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
We would suggest using the following fabrics – oilskins, medium weight wovens such as yard dyed Essex linens or denims both with some stability, and cotton poplin or duck canvas for the lining. If you are an experienced sewer you could try Tencel, Tencel/linen, corduroy, more floppy linens, prints and checks.
Pattern Errata: Pattern piece 10 (handle): The gap between the rivet holes should be 6cm on each side. It is currently 5cm on one side and 6cm on the other.
