The Mousel Family – Luna x Dickens – Luna Lapin’s Literary Year

£24.00£75.00

Meet the Mousels, our very own Dickensian mice. Smaller than Luna, the Mousels are self-standing and made from cotton rather than felt. Our family of carol singing mice have lived in Sarah’s head for years and the Dicken’s box gave us the perfect opportunity to introduce you!

“Silent Night” is the original purple photo.
“Noel” is a beautiful cherry red on ivory.
“Oh, Christmas Tree” is a limey green on ivory.
“Three Kings” is teal on ivory.

Description

Our Make Me kits include easy-to-read instructions with beautiful photography and clear diagrams demonstrating the sewing steps. We are sure that if you read the instructions carefully, you will be successful in your sewing, but if you have any questions (or just want to show off your work), join Luna Lapin’s Little World, our helpful Facebook community.

The Mousel Family is one of our more advanced projects, but only because it requires machine sewing, and it is a rather big undertaking (there are four mice and plenty of garments). We recommend that you give yourself plenty of time to complete the Mousel Family. This project is designed to be machine-sewn, but a very patient person could do it by hand. The Mousels will not fit in the clothes from the Luna Lapin and Friends series as they are on a smaller scale.

Ingredients (either in the kit or you will need)
Included in kit: 25cm x full width each of Tilda doll fabric in Sand and Stone, 4 prs safety eyes, 12 x 1.5cm buttons for adult mouse all limbs and child mouse leg, 4 x 1cm buttons for child mouse arms, embroidery winding for noses.
Not included in kit but you will need: a sewing machine, iron, scissors, water-soluble marking pen, and a pencil/knitting needle/chopstick for turning through/stuffing, tonal thread, black thread for whiskers, blusher, toy stuffing, optional weighing scales, and blusher. A turning tool or long tweezers will help the process.
