Description

Starting life as a pattern hack for Erik, their much shorter cousin. Bramble has become a firm favourite within our lovely sewing community and we thought it was time they got a booklet all of their own. This means Bramble is also available as a PDF for the tech-savvy and international amongst us.

Bramble is Flora sized (well, a little shorter) and can share her wardrobe – a new capsule collection will be launching in August.

We have made Bramble up in a boucle fabric. This boucle is stretchy, and you will need to control the stretch as you sew. The fabric is bulky, so we advise testing out your foot pressure and stitch length on some scrap before the main event. Don’t overstuff Bramble, or the boucle will stretch, and it might distort the result.

Biscuit is the lighter original colour, shown in photographs.

Bramble would be simple to make in felt, you would need 45cm x 90cm of our felt for the main body and a standard size piece for the contrast – you will also need something to make Bramble’s black nose.

This fabric pack contains 1/3mtr main colour, a square of contrast boucle for muzzle and feet , 4 buttons for arms and legs, a pair of safety eyes and a piece of black felt for a nose.

You will also need tonal thread, a doll needle, pins, scissors, sewing machine, and normal needles, stuffing – and the instructions to make Erik.

This is a wonderful kit producing a beautiful squishy bear. Everything included and a pleasure to make.

Bramble was my first attempt at using bouchée and it worked a treat. As with very character, I read the instructions carefully before cutting and sewing. I love Bramble’s long legs and he is a great character. Bramble needed clothes as without them he wasn’t complete for me.
