The CoolCrafting Shop
What are your Opening Hours?
We are open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, from 9.30am-5pm
We are closed on Sundays
Where is your shop and how do I get to you?
Here is a map!
You will find us at 40 Market Place, Kendal, LA94TN.
Getting Here
By Car – We are just around the corner from the two pay and display carparks, plus there is on-street parking down the street (only a few spaces and not available on market days). The Westmorland Shopping Center is just round the corner and the car park is easy to find, it’s just behind the bus stop. They have disabled parking, and you can hire a mobility scooter from there should you need to. (They also have a public loo). If you arrive before 9 am it’s just £1.00 to park all day, and the car park closes at 7 pm. We recommend taking advantage of this if you are taking a day course.
By Bus – Kendal bus station is just a 3-minute walk from the CoolCrafting Shop.
By Train – Kendal Train Station is 0.4 miles from the CoolCrafting shop and takes about 10 minutes to walk from the station. We would recommend taking the route down Stramongate for the most as the crow flys direction. But if you need to avoid hills altogether, we would go via A6/Sands Avenue and take the lift in the Westmorland Shopping Centre to reach the fifth floor. From here, it is all one level out onto Kendal Market Place and to the CoolCrafting shop.
Can I contact the shop by Phone?
Sort of – most of the time the post room picks up the phone, they are on the second floor of our town centre shop but they can hand you over if you need to talk to the shop directly – Call us on 01539 724099
Will I meet Sarah?
Maybe! Sarah goes to the shop almost every day (unless she is at a show), normally in the mornings and is always happy to meet enthusiastic stitchers. If you want to catch her, send an email, and we can let you know when she will be around!
Do you take card payments?
Yes, we take Apple and Android Pay, contactless, and all major Credit and Debit cards. We do not take American Express. However, we do have a minimum card payment of £5. oo in-store. Cash is always welcome; like many independent retailers, we believe cash is king
Do you sell vouchers, and can I spend them in-store, at shows and online?
We sell gift vouchers, and they are available in any amount. You can buy either a posted voucher or a pdf voucher. You can find them here. They can be spent online, at shows or in-store.
Our gift vouchers have an expiry date of two years from the date of purchase – plenty of time to shop, but if you have any issues, please let us know.
