There is a huge woodland trend in the crafting (and fashion) world, with some lovely makes inspired by the softer creatures, such as deer, foxes and rabbits. However, probably the most influencial creature at the moment is the Owl. With that in mind we produced these very fun little fellas which would look great amongst other cushions or pillows.
It took a tweak to the original pattern to stop the owl looking a little scary – initially I had made his ears too pointy and it was evil, not adorable.
Now he is just right and we make the owls up in all sorts of gorgeous combinations. With a hand embroidered blanket stitch around the eyes and some big feature buttons, this has proved a best seller at our events.
