Our Make Me Aplir Showers kits include easy-to-read instructions with beautiful photography and clear diagrams demonstrating the sewing steps. We are sure that if you read the instructions carefully, you will be successful in your sewing, but if you have any questions (or just want to show off your work), join Luna Lapin’s Little World, our helpful Facebook community.
The April Showers Fisherman’s Top and Culottes is one of our projects suited to someone looking to build on their sewing skills. We recommend that you have some prior experience making clothing (person—or Luna-sized), but you shouldn’t find it too tricky! This project is designed to be machine-sewn, but a very patient person could do it by hand. All the clothes in the Luna Lapin collection (unless stated otherwise) will fit Luna and all her friends. For Ottoline Otter, you may want to shorten the trousers’ length, but we include instructions on how to do this!
Ingredients (either in this kit or you will need) Instructions, Pattern, needlecord, mid-weight fabric, safety pin, elastic, two buttons
You will also need tonal or contrast thread, scissors, pins, a sewing machine, an iron, and a sewing needle. If you are changing the length of the pattern, you might need some sellotape.
