Downloadable instructions and pattern for a wash day apron. Please print at full scale to ensure the pattern pieces print to the correct size for you. There are 7 pages of instructions – which you might want to view on screen and 2 pages of patterns to print and stick together

The instructions are thorough and include diagrams to demonstrate the sewing steps.
You will need about 40cm of fabric if you are using only one fabric, or 2 Fat Qtrs if you are lining with something different – cotton, linen, linen mix.
You will also need an iron, scissors, pins, a sewing machine and tonal sewing thread. A knitting needle or chopstick will help you turn out corners.
