Description
Downloadable instructions and pattern for creating your own Merry Angel Bunny. Please print at full scale to ensure the pattern pieces print to the correct size for you. There are 20 pages of instructions – which you might want to view on screen and 3 pages of patterns to print.
Merry is a pretty little bunny at roughly 75% size of Luna. She is free standing with super long feet, and she is machine sewn out of craft cotton. You could make her out of felt or calico.
This is a pdf pattern to make the body plus a fur trimmmed tiered skirted dress with bell shaped sleeves.
The instructions are thorough and include diagrams to demonstrate the sewing steps.
We recommend Merry for intermediate sewers that have experience with following a pattern. Merry is a project designed for those comfortable with a sewing machine.
You will need 40cm (16”) quilting weight cotton, about 1mtr (39”)of 2.5cm (1”) wide fur trim, ½ mtr (20”) thermo-adhesive jewel trim, 1 x 6mm (1/4”)press stud, 1 x 10mm (3/8”)press stud, 15cm (6”) square) white felt, interfacing, tonal thread.
You will also need sewing machine, iron, scissors, pins, normal sewing needle and some glue. You may want to use some metallic thread for top-stitching the wings and a little blusher for Merry’s cheeks.
Note: Instructions and pattern only for doll and dress
Merry and her wardrobe are the property of Sarah Peel. We hope you enjoy making Merry over and over again and love the idea that you might develop your own designs for her clothes. However, our designs and instructions should not be replicated for commercial gain.
Please note due to the nature of some of the components we cannot regard Merry as a toy and she should not be given to small children as there is a risk that the buttons on the doll could be swallowed.
