A gorgeous natural linen, which has the benefit of being prewashed. Lighter in weight than our other linen qualities, this makes up well in tops, blouses, and fuller skirts and trousers. It gathers beautifully and can be self lined without the garment becoming bulky.
Linen is an airy natural fabric made from the fibres of the flax plant. Linen is a strong natural fibre and therefore tear-resistant. The more often it is used, the softer and stronger it becomes. This fabric is used for clothes, tablecloths and painting canvases, among other things.
Stable for both cutting and sewing, this comes thoroughly recommended by Sarah as suitable for beginner dressmakers.
