The Dutch Rabbits

Anouk de Kleermaker is Granny Lapin’s second cousin. Anouk, known by her many grandchildren as Oma, is a talented knitter, painter, and seamstress. The Dutch Bunnies live on a collection of beautifully painted river barges in the canals and rivers of the Netherlands. Anouk and her sweet little granddaughter Tulip believe in magic. The clothing for the Dutch Rabbits can be found in our 10-year magazine and will (eventually) be sold separately.

Description

Our Make Me Dutch Rabbit kits include easy-to-read instructions with beautiful photography and clear diagrams to demonstrate the sewing steps. We are sure that if you read the instructions carefully, you will be successful in your sewing, but if you have any questions (or just want to show off your work), join Luna Lapin’s Little World, our helpful Facebook community.

The Dutch Rabbits are designed to be hand-sewn, and though there are parts you might find easier with a machine, it is not essential; they are suitable for a confident beginner who has made Luna before. We recommend you are at least 13/14 years old. Though all of our Luna-sized outfits are interchangeable, we designed the outfits (not included) from the ten-year celebration box with our sweet Dutch Rabbits in mind!

You will also need a sewing machine (optional), iron, scissors, water-soluble marking pen, and a pencil/knitting needle/chopstick for turning through/stuffing the Dutch rabbits.
