Alfie is designed to be hand-sewn and suitable for a confident beginner; we recommend you are at least 13/14 years old. Alfie’s Outfit is designed to be stitched on a sewing machine.
Our Make Me kits include easy-to-read instructions with beautiful photography and clear diagrams to demonstrate the sewing steps. All our Make Me Kits now include a little tag to help you share in Alfie’s Story and a PDF copy of the Alfie Body and Head pattern just in case your paper copy gets lost.

Instructions, Paper Pattern for Alfie, Wool felt for body, Liberty print fabric for ear lining and footpads, Iron on interfacing for ears, 2 buttons for eyes, 2 buttons for arm joints, long darner needle, sewing needle, tapestry needle, 100mtr bobbin of tonal thread, embroidery thread, eight pins.
Alfie’s Outfit
Instructions, Paper Patterns (Waistcoat) Wool Check Fabric, Liberty Cotton, 3 buttons, 3 press studs (Jeans) 100% Cotton Denim, narrow elastic, safety pin, button (Shirt) Fat Qtr 100% Cotton Gingham, 6 tiny doll buttons, 4 press studs.
You will also need scissors, matching threads, pins, a sewing machine, an iron, knitting needle and a sewing needle, and some sellotape.
Each kit is hand assembled on the edge of the English Lake District.
